The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 7, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2024 SEASON OUTLOOK:

Riverdale Ridge lost 7 seniors after last spring, so they will be looking for many new faces to step in and play a big role in 2024. Coach Garza believes the right pieces will fall where they need to, but filling the catcher position and supplying many needed innings will be pivotal. The defense for the Ravens will have some varsity experience, and there are some returning hitters with plenty of success from last season as well. If this younger group can gain momentum early, we could see them put together another very successful season in 4A.
