Prep Baseball Report

Welcome to PBR Florida

Florida We Got it Covered

With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report Florida. Our mission in Florida mirrors that of other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately help Florida prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in Florida.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 12 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly cover Florida:

Terrance Freeman.

With his roots firmly entrenched in Florida, Freeman brings a wealth of high-level baseball experience and wide-reaching connections to the Prep Baseball Report. A two-time draft pick out of Edison Community College (15th round, Angels, 1993) and Manatee Community College (30th round, A’s, 1994), Freeman went on to play six years of professional baseball in the A’s, Pirates and Tigers organizations.

Aside from his successful playing career, Freeman has more recently built his reputation coaching, scouting and leading amateur players at all levels, not only in Florida, but nationally. Since 2011, Freeman has been a member of the USA Baseball task force, helping identify and select national team participants. This year he was named the 2014 12U National Team head coach for USA Baseball.

Freeman has also been the head baseball coach at Eagle’s View Academy in Jacksonville, and also currently serves as the school’s principal. Under Freeman’s tutelage, he guided Eagle’s View Academy to FHSAA state championships in 2005, 2007 and 2008.

With so much talent in Florida, Freeman has a team of scouts placed throughout the state, with Jessie Parkin serving as his state director. Parkin, too, is a Floridian through and through. He coached two years at St. Johns River State, in addition to six years as a high school baseball coach. Parkin received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University.

Now Freeman, Parkin and crew will bring their baseball experiences and connections to Florida’s prep baseball scene. Freeman and Parkin will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Florida has ever seen and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But they can’t do it alone. Please email him a [email protected] or [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Florida summer events are already set up at top-flight venues across the state. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure from college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 10 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into the authoritative voice of high school baseball in Illinois. More than 450 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services. In 2008, we took the same promotional model to Indiana, and have since expanded into Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Kansas, and New York.

Now, we are thrilled to be your No. 1 source of high school baseball in Florida.
