This Tuesday, April 2nd, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin team is hosting the South Milwaukee Rising Stars ID at Hitters Academy in Caledonia, Wis.  This event is tailored to prospects in the 2028 and 2029 classes and it is meant to educate players with what to expect about the overall landscape of playing at the next level while also allowing our staff to identify some up-and-coming talent.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.

EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past few years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games.

There were a number of players in attendance at this same event last year that have already made noise early on into their freshmen years, starting with 3B/RHP Cooper Schaefgen (Oconomowoc, 2027; Louisville) who currently holds the No. 2 spot in our Class of 2027 Rankings. He recently came away a winner from our South Milwaukee Preseason ID, where he took a clean round of BP, maxing out at 95.3 mph on his hardest hit ball and also ran his fastball up to 85 mph. C/OF Jack Spielmann (Milton, 2027) is another high-end freshman that was in attendance last year. He earned an invite to the annual Junior Future Games, where he was one of the top performers for Team Wisconsin and he carried that momentum into this year's winter circuit as he was also one of the top performers at the South Milwaukee Preseason ID.

RHP/INF/OF Ira Hilbelink (Cedar Grove-Belgium, 2027) also kickstarted his successful 2023 campaign at this event and capped it off with Junior Future Games invite. He too was a huge winner during out winter circuit, after showing off his three-pitch mix and also taking a loud round of BP at the South Milwaukee Preseason ID. OF/LHP Prescott Sanford (Franklin, 2027), 3B/RHP Danny Flor (Oconomowoc, 2027), LHP/1B Cal Schneider (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2027), RHP/INF Charlie Wronski (Marquette University, 2027)  and C/OF Levi Boivin (Neenah, 2027) are a few other names that earned Junior Future Games invites follwing there performances at this even last year.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

Because of the high number of prospects set to attend Thursday's event, it is imperative that you read our adjusted showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smart phone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PBR profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.
