Bo Saunders, MIF, Scott County HS, 2015

Bo Saunders is a 6-foot, 165-pound MIF who has shown well at multiple PBR events and was selected for the Team Kentucky Roster at the PBR Midwest Future Games at Indiana University in August.

Saunders, who played primarily 2nd base at the Future Games, undoubtedly showcased his defensive abilities at the event.  He showed good range, making several plays in both directions during the three games.  He plays the infield with fluid footwork, good lateral movement, and soft hands.  He demonstrates good body control with the ability to throw accurately from all angles with 77 mph arm strength across the infield.

At the plate, Saunders uses his lower half well to generate bat speed through the zone, displaying some gap-to-gap pop.  He ran a 7.03 60-yard dash at the Top Prospect Games in June, with an 84 mph exit velocity off the tee.

Saunders, currently ranked No.29 in Kentucky’s 2015 class, played a vital role in the Scott County lineup as a sophomore last season, leading the Cardinals in several offensive categories while solidifying the shortstop position.  No doubt he will do the same again in 2014.
