2017 TEAM PREVIEW: 4a penn kingsmen

2016 Record: 29-5
Conference (2016 Record):  NIC - 12-0 - 1st

Outlook:  Penn comes off a semi-state loss to 4A runner-up Zionsville finishing with a 29-5 record.  Although they may not be happy with the ending, Penn had a 12-0 conference record and a very tough path to Victory field last year.  Losing Skylar Szynski to the draft will hurt the starting pitching, but they have some young arms coming up that will compete.  The offense will be led by Niko Kavadas (Notre Dame), Trevor Waite (Dayton), Nolan Metcalf (Kansas), and Matt Kominkiewicz (St. Francis).  Young guns Ryan Lynch and Cam Szynski will be up and coming stars for the Kingsmen in the near future as well.  Coach Dikos expects them to compete offensively and on the bases with their tough schedule once again this spring.  Expect to see Penn with another 20+ win season this year.
