Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 5 (April 10-15).

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Cason Hill OF / SS / Middle Tennessee Christian , TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 27 / POS: 6 Hill made a solid impression on our staff at the TN Preseason All-State and that has carried over into the spring season as Hill earns Mizuno Player of the Week in Week 5 where he contributed both on the mound and at the plate for MTCS. 7-12 (.583 avg) on the week with a pair of homeruns, where he now has five on the season. reached base five times via walks, had a double, scored five runs and collected four RBI's. On the mound, tossed a complete game no-hitter in just five innings, walked three during his outing and gathered nine punch outs.
