Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Chad Jones (Rockwood Summit)

Chad Jones (Rockwood Summit, 2014) is a 5-foot-9 175-pound catcher and is receiving interest from Truman State and Southeast Missouri State.  He has a weighted GPA of 3.9 and scored a 28 on the ACT, and is interested in entering a Pre-med program. 

To add to his high academics, Jones is a tough, gritty defensive catcher that is becoming more consistent at the plate.  He earned the starting catcher position as a sophomore at Rockwood Summit High School and lead the team to a state championship that season.  Jones has a pop-times below 2.0 to go along with good blocking skills.  He batted .217 in the spring last season, but showed more consistency during the summer. 

Along with having a winning high school season, one of Jones' goals to add 5 to 10 pounds of muscle during the off-season.  Besides baseball, Jones also played soccer for the Falcons and will play for the St. Louis Gamers during the summer.
