2024 Prep Baseball Nebraska Pitcher & Player of the Week: Week 2

Tanner Foertsch RHP / Elkhorn South , NE / 2024

The Doane commit went six strong innings for the win in the Storm's 4-1 win over Papio South. Foerstch struck out 10, scattered 3 hits, and allowed just the lone run. 

In two starts this year, he's amassed 22 strikeouts in 11 innings.

Foertsch is Prep Baseball Nebraska's 30th ranked prospect in the class of 2024.

Landon Sandy C / Lincoln Southwest, NE / 2025

The uncommitted junior catcher had himself an impressive performance in a doubleheader against Norfolk. 

In the first contest, Sandy went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run, driving in three of the 10 runs. 

In the second game of the double dip, he went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and drove in five more runs.

In total on the day: 6-for-7, 5 extra base hits, and 8 RBI.
