2024 Langley Blaze Pro Tour - Standout Performances

Brady Turner
West Coast Director

Another year of Spring Training has gone by with teams from all over the country making their way south to prepare for the upcoming summer season. This year, our staff was in attendence for the entire Langley Blaze Pro Tour, in which the best players from across the country join the Blaze and play against professional and college teams under the sun in Arizona.

Our staff want to highlight 6 players that stood out and impressed against talented competition while on the Pro Tour.

Keegan Drinkle C / 1B / Maple Ridge, BC / 2024

The 2024 University of Mary commit was the hottest hitter throughout the entire Pro Tour. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Catcher/1st baseman has present strength and bat-to-ball, driving multiple balls to the gaps for extra bases. Drinkle utilizes a toe-tap to get on time and showed the ability to catch up to mid-90s from pro arms. Drinkle will look to have a big senior season for the Langley Blaze before heading off to school in the fall.

Sean Duncan LHP / Port Coquitlam, BC / 2026

The 2026 is one of the top arms in the country despite being one of the youngest arms on the Junior National Team. Duncan showed us why with his pitchability and knack for locating all 3 of his pitches for strikes. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound LHP has a clean, loose arm, running the fastball up to 91 mph. The curveball has two-plane break creating OZ swing & miss and locating it in the zone early in counts to get ahead. The changeup has late fading action that he pairs well with the fastball, locating it down in the zone. The swing & miss he generated from all 3 pitches against pro hitters was very impressive. The Blaze product has a bright future ahead.

Kason Siguenza SS / 2B / Robert Bateman , BC / 2026

Siguenza is an uncommitted 2025 to follow this coming season after showing well on the Blaze Pro Tour. Although smaller in stature, at 5-10, 160-pounds, he shows athleticism and twitch on both sides of the ball. In the middle of the infield, Siguenza moves well laterally and has soft hands making several difficult plays on both sides of 2nd base. At the dish, thereโ€™s present bat-to-ball, having only struck out 4 times in 31 plate appearances, with hand and bat speed that allows him to put the ball in play to the entire field. The Langley Blaze showed the ability to make an impact on both sides of the ball and he will be looking to do much of the same this season.

Nathan Flewelling C / OF / St. Joseph, AB / 2024

Rankingsย  StateRank: 6 / POS: 1

Flewelling continues to hit wherever he goes, this time it was on the Langley Blaze Pro Tour against quality arms. The 2024/25 C drove the ball hard all week, with 4 extra base hits, 2 of which were triples, and had multiple hard line drive outs against MiLB arms. He works gap-to-gap, getting on time with harder velocity. Flewelling has been up to a 108 mph exit velocity at the St. Joseph's Scout Day and is one of the top players in the country.

Luke Laird SS / 2B / N/A, BC / 2026

Rankingsย  StateRank: 2 / POS: 1

Another one of the younger players on the Pro Tour that had an immediate impact was 2026 SS Luke Laird. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound LHH has one of the top hit tools in his class on the West Coast. Thereโ€™s plenty of bat speed and bat-to-ball that allows Laird to sit back and use the entire field if needed. Despite the smaller stature, thereโ€™s gap-to-gap power and with the ability to run well, heโ€™s also a threat on the bases. The underclassman will be a name to follow in the coming years as he continues to add strength and develop.

Kyu Lumsdon RHP / OF / Walnut Grove Secondary, BC / 2024

Lumsdon is one of the top uncommitted 2024s in the country. Recently named to the Canadian Junior National Team, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP works both sides of the plate with his fastball that he has run up to 90 mph. He has shown the ability to locate the slider and changeup for strikes, as well as generate OZ chase with them. The arm is loose out of a high ยพ slot with an easy, repeatable delivery. Lumsdon will be a name to follow this summer as he shouldn't be uncommitted for long.ย
