Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Catcher, Dylan Jones, Avon HS

Today’s Player Spotlight is an unsigned senior, Dylan Jones out of Avon High School.  Jones is one of the top unsigned senior catchers in Indiana.  He is a 6-foot, 155 pound catcher with good strength.  His mechanics behind the plate are solid, and blocks the ball well.  He shows a pop time consistently below 2.0, with a top time of 1.89.   His arm strength is solid at 77 mph.

At the plate he has a slightly open stance with good bat speed. He gets to extension well and has gap to gap power. Jones has the potential to hit for some power at the next level.

Jones played for the Indiana Bulls organization this past summer.
