2024 Prep Baseball Minnesota Diamond Notes: Week 2

Dominic Pascuzzi RHP / SS / Chisholm, MN / 2025

Pascuzzi tossed a no-hitter against North Woods, helping Chisolm on the way to a 13-0 victory. He finished with 13 strikeouts and just one walk.

Adam Deselich OF / LHP / Wayzata, MN / 2025

In three games against Minneapolis Southwest, Edina, and Eden Prairie, Deselich was 7-for-10 with 3 doubles and a HR. He also drove in ten, scored four himself and did not strikeout. 

Thomas Francis / North St. Paul, MN / 2024

Francis went 2-for-5 with a triple. 

Andrew Palm C / 2B / Elk River, MN / 2024

In our two games last week Andrew went 4-8 with 3 doubles and 1 triple with 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. In our season opener Andrew was 3-5 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 4 RBI and 3 runs in a 9-3 win over Anoka. 

Jackson Conway SS / Washburn, MN / 2024

In two games, Jackson went 5-for-6 with five RBIs plus he was the winning pitcher with 4 innings, 1 hit, and five strikeouts. 

Tyler Phenow RHP / Champlin Park, MN / 2024

On Friday, April 12th, Tyler Phenow had a complete game shutout at Blaine with 10 strikeouts and one hit allowed and then on Thursday April 18th he had another complete game shutout at Totino Grace with 9 strikeouts.

Logan Feeney LHP / OF / LeSueur-Henderson, MN / 2024

Feeney pitched the Giants to a 12-0 victory on the mound Monday against TCU, improving the Giants record to 5-0. He threw a complete 5 inning shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out 14.

Bjorn Lind SS / RHP / Duluth East, MN / 2024

Bjorn went 8-for-17 (.470) with 3 doubles, 4 RBI, and three runs scored to help the Duluth East Greyhounds finished 2-2 on the week. 

Brett Schlangen / Sartell, MN / 2024

Schlangen went six innings, scattering five hits and two runs with nine strikeouts in his win over Rocori.

Wilson Sanderson SS / 2B / Rockford, MN / 2024

Sanderson went 5-for-10 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.

Gannon Reidinger RHP / 1B / Montevideo, MN / 2025

Gannon dominated Sauk Centre's lineup Monday April 15th with an 88 pitch complete game 6-0 win. He only allowed 1 base runner the first 3 innings while striking out 6 of the first 10 batters.

Ethan Bombardier RHP / RHP / Farmington, MN / 2024

Ethan took a no-hitter into the 7th inning against Lakeville North on Thursday. He ended giving up a hit, a walk and eventual run on a fielder's choice. Tigers ended up winning 10-1 to improve to 6-0.

Louis Walker LHP / OF / Minneapolis Southwest, MN / 2024

Walker has a couple game shutout over Minneapolis South on April 20th. He struck out 12 and allowed just two hits.

Jakob Nachreiner RHP / Springfield, MN / 2024

7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 BBs, 13 Ks.

Blake Eckerle C / SS / White Bear Lake, MN / 2025

2023 Futures Game alum is hitting .650 with three doubles and eight runs batted in.  

Noah Filer RHP / Wayzata, MN / 2025

Pitched 5 scoreless innings against EP; 13 SO, 1 BB, 3 H and got the W.

Carson McCain RHP / OF / New London-Spicer, MN / 2024

Carson threw a 6 inning no hitter in a 1-0 loss to Rockford on Thursday. Carson had 10 K's, walked 3 and gave up 1 unearned run on a tough weather day. 

Jared Cortez C / OF / Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, MN / 2024

That week Jared Cortez was 9/18 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, and a home run. Scored 12 runs as well. On the mound Cortez pitched 5.2 innings giving up 3 hits and struck out 8, while surrendering up 1 earned run.

Colter Hegge RHP / OF / LINCOLN SECONDARY, MN / 2026

Colter got his first Varsity win on the mound last Monday night (4/15) against the defending Section 1AA champions Cannon Falls Bombers. Colter threw 5 innings, giving up 2 runs (1 earned), 4 hits, and 3 walks. Colter also went 2-4 at the plate with 1 run and 1 stolen base. Later on during the week against section foe St. Charles, Colter went 2-5 at the plate with a double, single, and 3 stolen bases. 

Jamison Snyder RHP / OF / Irondale , MN / 2024

Jamison pitched 4 innings on Wednesday 4/17 giving Irondale a shot vs. crosstown rival Mounds View (5-4 loss). Saturday 4/20 Jamison played a stellar RF and went 1-3 with a walk a run and the game winning RBI single w/ bases loaded and 2 outs to walk-off Section opponent Spring Lake Park 7-6

Luke Roepke 1B / RHP / Glencoe-Silver Lake, MN / 2025

Luke picked up one win and one save helping his team to win 4 games during the week. Innings pitched 8, Ks 7, BB 3. He also went 8 for 14 at the plate scoring 8 runs and driving in 9. 3 walks

Jackson Yanke SS / RHP / Dassel Cokato, MN / 2025

In two starts this week, Yanke struck out 17k and had a 1.61 ERA. 

Gerad Hanle LHP / 1B / Becker, MN / 2027

The JFG alum helped Becker on both sides of the ball this week. The freshman struck out 11 over four innings and drove in six runs to help the Bulldogs.

Nicholas Terhaar RHP / OF / Proctor, MN / 2025

The Iowa commit worked four innings against reigning 2A state champion Esko and struckout 10.

Levi Anderson C / 3B / East Grand Forks, MN / 2024

In East Grand Forks' lone game last week, Anderson went 2-for-4 with a double, home run. He drove in three and scored three of his own.

Travis Godfrey RHP / OF / Osseo, MN / 2024

Godfrey tossed an 85-pitch complete game shutout against Cenetennial. 

Brander Lovig SS / RHP / Chanhassen, MN / 2024

Lovig went 4-for-10 with a double, triple, two RBI, and a pair of runs scored.

Jack Gessner LHP / OF / Woodbury, MN / 2025

In his first varsity start against no. 1 ranked Stillwater, Gessner went six innings, no runs, nine strikeouts and just two hits. So far in 2024, he’s thrown 8 2/3 innings without allowing a run, with a 14/3 strikeout-to-walks.
