New England Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Matt Chamberlain, OF

Name: Matt Chamberlain
Position: OF
School: North Branford
Class: 2016

Scouting Report: At 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, the frame is strong, has room to fill out, has some natural strength, quickness to him is very athletic. Hits from the left side, the stance is a little wider, the hands are set just above the shoulders. The path to the ball is good, gets uphill at the end. The tee exit velocity was 83, shows raw power to all fields. During the game had 2 hits both to pull side. The time down the 4.53. In the outfield the arm registered 86, had good transfer and quick release, ball comes out well. Throws were on target. Off the mound, fastball was 73-76. The curveball was in the mid-60s. The slot is high-¾. With more reps and game play, has the potential to really swing the bat.
