PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Axelberg: Combination of Great Baseball Program, Close to home but not too close, Opportunity to play D2 and D1 baseball

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Axelberg: NDSU, SDSU, Gustavus

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Axelberg: They first saw me at the High School State Tournament, my Legion Coach, Coach Nett, is good friends with Coach Huber so any questions that Huber had about me as a player and a person could be answered by Nett

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Axelberg: Yes, I do feel relieved, now I can focus on getting myself better instead of having my focus be on getting recruited.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Axelberg: Going to Augustana and playing D2 baseball for a year or two and then Augustana changing to D1 was a big factor.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Axelberg: Legion Coach, Ryan Nett, he was the one who mentioned me to Coach Huber, and he has been coaching me for the past 3 years.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Axelberg: I was expecting it to be a lot more stressful but once I visited Augustana I knew it was the right fit for me, so it ended up being pretty easy.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Axelberg: They have the spot open for me, but I have to still show up and prove that I can handle the college level baseball.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Axelberg: Winning the 2017 VFW State Championship

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Axelberg: Max Carlson
