PBR: Why did you choose South Dakota State University?
FALCK: I chose South Dakota State because the coaches have impressive backgrounds and the facilities are amazing. The location is good being only 3 and a half hours away from home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
FALCK: Creighton and Iowa Western CC, but when I visited South Dakota State I knew it was the best fit for me.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
FALCK: They saw me at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase. They decided to keep in contact and come to a couple of games that led to an unofficial visit and I really liked all the coaches.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
FALCK: For sure. Ever since sophomore year I have been worried about college, and now that it's over and I get to play for a great team, it’s a huge relief.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
FALCK: There were multiple. The coaches and new facilities really put it over the top for me.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
FALCK: Matt Faulken, a former St. Thomas coach, owns a hitting facility right by my house and he lets me come up whenever I want and he will throw BP.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
FALCK: I was expecting it to be difficult, but the coaches made it very easy and fun.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
FALCK: They expect me to come in and compete for a spot at shortstop, and if that doesn't work right away, they see me moving around a lot and using my versatility to my advantage.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
FALCK: My most memorable moment is going to Las Vegas with the Blizzard program and competing against kids from all over the country.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
FALCK: Jake Irvin was the best pitcher I've ever faced, it was fun competing against a now Big XII pitcher.
