Physical: Sturdy, physical 5-foot-7, 196-pound frame with advanced strength in the lower half. 8.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.   

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, wide stance with the handset the shoulder and the barrel pointed slightly upward upon setup. Utilized a controlled lift and replace stride to initiate his swing and showcased a short barrel path through a flat attack angle into the zone. The hands whipped through contact while staying through the middle of the field with the approach. Sometimes got tied up letting the ball get too deep, but when contacting the ball out in front, created a max of 89 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice. Hit into a stiff front side while generating a 322 foot maximum distance. 

Defensively: The primary backstop impressed with advanced defender qualities behind the dish. Beat the ball to the spot with the body and used a soft glove hand while receiving on either side of the plate. Pop times ranged from 1.88-1.96 utilizing powerful straight line footwork out of a low crouch and quick catch and throw skills through a short, high ¾ slot on the bag. Worked hard to create soft walls and recovery ability while blocking, deadening the baseball upon impact. C - 74 mph

Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Simple short load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Displayed hard consistent contact to the pull side during batting practice. Defensively as a catcher, active footwork. Quick exchange and release from a high ¾ arm slot. Displayed accurate throws to the plate. As a 3B, Pereira gets in a low wide base when fielding the baseball. Gets rid of the ball quickly. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot.
