Uncommitted Spotlight: SS Drew Britton

With the summer coming to a close and we begin to transition to the fall with a brand-new school year, our focus is still on uncommitted prospects in the Classes of 2023 and 2024. As these prospects enter their final two years of high school, there are still many talented upperclassmen still on the market that may have been "overlooked" or are currently "flying under the radar" and looking for a place to play at the next level. 

Continuing the Uncommitted Spotlight series that was featured at the beginning of the summer, we continue to take a look and spotlight an uncommitted prospect every Tuesday and Thursday. Hit: LHH. Slightly open stance, quiet load, hands stay inside the ball. Works middle to opposite side of the field.
Power: 86.7 max exit velocity, averaged 75.4 mph. 248’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 81 mph.  Clean arm path from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Quick exchange, clean hands, athletic arm.
Run: 7.27 runner in the 60.

Body: 5-11, 160-pounds. Athletic frame, room to fill out.
Hit: LHH. Quick stride with minimal movement from a wide stance.  Slight uphill path through the zone with the ability to stay through contact.
Power: 86.9 max exit velocity, averaged 82.2 mph. 204’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph.  Accurate throws with some carry.
Defense: Fluid, clean footwork and exchange, athletic fielding actions with easy glove actions.
Run: 4.44 runner H-1B.
