PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Huebsch: I knew I wanted to go the JUCO route and play for a great program. The coaches really welcomed me in, explained their program and showed me the campus and sports facility. I just liked the whole atmosphere at Century College and the support I will receive from them both academically and athletically.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Huebsch: I was interested in St. Scholastica, Bethany Lutheran and talking with many other Division 3 and Junior Colleges around the state.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Huebsch: I was seen first by Century College at the PBR showcase at Northwestern St. Paul. Then I got in contact with them and maintained a great relationship with them ever since.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Huebsch: Yes, I am very happy that I know where I will attend college next year and now I can focus on my upcoming season for school and finish my studies in high school.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Huebsch: One of the biggest deciding factors that made me choose Century was the level of rigor of the opponents during the season. I also am impressed with their amazing coaching staff.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Huebsch: Augie Rodriguez from Acceleration Baseball has helped me the most with my baseball career. He has helped me develop as a player over the past few years and helped me get exposure to college coaches.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Huebsch: I wanted to showcase my skills in front of college coaches, and the PBR showcase really helped me with that. I liked the process very much!

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Huebsch: The coaching staff has me being a versatile player and playing different positions. Primarily catcher, but also 1st and 3rd base.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Huebsch: The most memorable moment was beating Rocori in extra innings in playoffs. It was back and forth all game and many exciting plays won us the game.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Huebsch: The best player I have ever competed against is Jack Steil from Rocori. He is a great player with a lot of power at the plate.
