PBR: Why did you choose Fort Scott CC?
I chose Fort Scott for a multitude of reasons. Two important factors in my decision were both their success in the classroom as well as their success on the ball field. They are coached by a very knowledgeable staff that holds their players to a high standard, which in my opinion is necessary in order to develop them into better ball players and even better members of society.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was considering a few jucos at the time in the Jay Hawk league, mainly Garden City and Cloud County.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
I knew that they were a successful program and could potentially give me a chance to continue my baseball career at a D1 college in the future. I also hit with an alumni of the Greyhound baseball team, Trey Hair, and he sent them videos of me hitting.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
There was more than one reason that helped my choice. One being that they had a very good academic program, and the head coach there, Coach Hill, holds his players to a high standard academically. Along with this, Fort Scott has been very successful in placing their players in high-level 4-year colleges. Their campus and baseball facilities was a place that I could see myself developing as a student and an athlete for two years.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
I have had the luxury of playing for coaches very dedicated in helping their players develop their skills as well as place them in baseball programs that will benefit them the most. My past and present teammates have helped me develop as a competitor as they are intense competitors themselves. But the person who has helped me the most get to where I am today is my father. He has been my coach for almost my entire baseball career and has taught me a great deal about the game of baseball. I look to him for advice about life and baseball.
PBR: Going into your senior season this spring, what are your expectations for your team?
We have a strong group of experienced returning players and are very excited about the progress of the younger players in our program. From this, we are looking to make a run to get back to the state tournament.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
I will report late summer and from there go into fall ball, fine tune my skills and build a strong relationship with my teammates and coaches. From there, I will go into winter workouts and then the spring season.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
My favorite baseball memory to date is playing with the teammates I have been playing with since I was a kid and I look forward to one more year with them.

PBR: Who is the best player you have competed against?
The best player I have competed against would have to be Iowa Western's Joe Roecker from Elkhorn. He is a great pitcher with good stuff and has a competitive mentality.
