17u Great Lake Canadians vs 17u Ontario Blue Jays (Travers) - 6/2/18

Toronto - A well played doubleheader was split between the 17U teams from the Great Lake Canadians and Ontario Blue Jays on Saturday. There were several standout performances throughout the day but no player performed better than GLC 2018 LHP Jacob Gajic.

Report: The uncommitted Gajic pitched a complete game in game two racking up 11 strikeouts against a good hitting lineup. The 5-foot-11 Gajic, kept hitters off balanced all day with an impressive pitch mix and command. It is a compact delivery with clean actions and deception. He was able to spot a low eighties fastball to both sides of the plate and got many late swings. The curveball was very effective, displaying depth and late break. He racked up swinging strikes on the pitch from both left handed and right handed hitters. Flashed a few effective change ups with some late fade. He showed good temp on the mound and was in control the whole game. Gajic is a polished competitor who would be a great late sign for a school. |
