Daily Roundup: March 10 Games

Rain prohibited many games from being played last evening, but fields were just dry enough to allow some games to go on as scheduled. Here is a look at scores and highlights from games around the state last evening.

Collierville 15, Covington 0

Alex Hicks had a big night for Collierville going 2 for 3 at the plate. Bryan Doss ,Clay Murphy, and Parker Cathey each had a double for the Dragons. Peyton Culbertson was the winning pitcher with two strikeouts in an inning of work.

Jackson Christian 7, Haywood County 3

Hunter Higdon went 3 for 3 with a double ,followed by Nathan Thomas’ 2 for 2 performance with a triple. Hunter Higdon had 6 strikeouts in the Eagles win.

Knoxville Central 7, Clinton 6

In a very close and intense game, the Bobcats found a way to win. Jeremiah Howard went 2 for 4 with a double, followed by Jackson Greer’s 2 for 2 performance while Kayne Garrett added 2 hits. Nick Stamps picked up the win on the mound for the Bobcats.

Chuckey Doak 4, Cumberland Gap 3

Barkley had a huge night with 13 strikeouts and the win for Chuckey Doak. Kimary went 1 for 3 with a double,followed by multiple Chuckey Doak players picking up hits as well.

Happy Valley 7, Sullivan East 3

Ryne Baines went 1 for 3 with a double and Justin Maupin went 2 for 4 at the plate to lead Happy Valley. Caleb Rice got the win on the mound.

Grace 2, Powell 0

In a close, hard fought game, Grace pulled away with the win. Tyler Fee went 1 for 2 for the Rams to lead Grace offensively. Wheeler picked up the win with 7 strikeouts over 4 innings of work.

Tipton-Rosemark 13, Bolton 3

Sanders went 2 for 4 with a double and Langford went 3 for 4 for TRA to lead the offensive attack. Erin got the win on the mound with 8 strikeouts.

South Doyle 10, Morristown East 3

Brett Browning had a huge night for the Cherokees going 3 for 4 with a triple and two doubles. Brody Rollins got the win on the mound and had four strikeouts.

McCallie 8, North Murray 0

Quinn Smith and Ethan Cady both had home runs to lead the Tornadoes offensive attack .Drew Vaughn got the win on the mound with four strikeouts in five innings pitched.

Jefferson County 4, Morristown West 3

Silver Munguia went 2 for 3 with a double and Logan Hayes went 1 for 3 with a double as well. Logan Hayes also got the win on the mound for the Patriots with seven strikeouts.
