Mizuno Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 7

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 7 (April 1-April 6).
MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tristan Ciechanowicz / Dripping Springs, TX / 2025I was in attendance for Ciechanowicz's big game last week. In a big district game at Westlake, the Junior had two home runs and a double, ending the game with seven runs batted in and ten total bases, and most importantly, a Dripping Springs win. One of the home runs was a grand slam to take the wind out of the sails of a come back by Westlake. Big week for Ciechanowicz as the Tigers sweep the Chaps. Another big series this week for Drip as they take on Lake Travis.

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Aidan (AJ) Ripley LHP / 1B / Richardson Pearce , TX / 2024Rankings StateRank: 106 / POS: 13
Ripley has been on a roll in his senior season, this week was no different. The McLennan recruit tossed a no hitter with nine strikeouts against rival, Richardson HS. Ripley now has 38.2 IP on the season with 60 K, 13 BB, 1.62 ERA and a .905 WHIP.
