GAMES OF THE WEEK

Kettle Run vs Fauquier, at Fauquier Monday, May 17, at Kettle Run Friday, May 21
The Battle for Warrenton returns for 2021 with a pair of games this week. Both teams enter the game with four wins and are fighting for the second spot in the Northwestern District behind Millbrook. Fauquier has had a trio of solid arms emerge this spring in Owen Winebarger, Damen Tapscott, and Braedy Peck. Peck and Garrett Cockerille are keys to the Falcon lineup. Kettle Run took Millbrook into extras last week and has gotten some strong work on the mound from Harrison Yergey. Matt Twomey and Jake Ascari make up the core of the Cougar lineup.

Franklin County at Lord Botetourt, Tuesday, May 18
Two of the top teams in southwestern Virginia take the field in this matchup. Botetourt comes in unbeaten and off of a blowout win over previously-ranked William Byrd and Franklin County's only defeat so far this spring was at the hands of Byrd. Both teams' offenses are built around a D-1 commit, with Michael Williams (Radford) manning the middle infield for Franklin County and Connor Fuhrman (South Carolina) at shortstop for Lord Botetourt.

No. 23 Glen Allen at No. 24 Mills Godwin, Friday, May 21
