Ontario Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Cooper Lamb, 3B

Name: Cooper Lamb
Position: 3B
Rank: 28th in Class of 2016
High School: Robert Bateman HS
Club Team: Ontario Blue Jays
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 215-pounds
Grad: 2016

Scouting Report: Lamb is a big and strong presence at the corner infield positions with his 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame. He has wide shoulders and can add strength gains with maturity. Lamb swings it from the right-side of the plate with power and bat speed, always seeming like he is a threat to leave the ballpark. He hits with an average size leg kick, generating well to contact with his lower half. Works more to his pull side where he produces most of his power, Lamb shows good bat control and has ability to hit as well, not just for power. Played third base as well as some first base. Has plenty of arm strength for the hot corner as Lamb displays clean actions and lots of carry across the diamond. His hands work, while he shows proper lower half footwork.
