Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 3 (March 25-30).

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jaxon Walker OF / LHP / Loudon, TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 2 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 134 / POS: 25 Walker, our #2 overall and #1 position player in the 2024 class had a really strong week at the plate where he batted .417 with a 1.250 slugging percentage to go with 1 2B, 3 HR's and 11 RBI's, while going 1-0 on the mound.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Carson Pack RHP / SS / Oakland, TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 67 / POS: 22 Pack was outstanding last week agaisnt Barlett throwing a No-Hitter en route to a complete game win. He would finish with 7 K's and missed barrels consistantly to no-hit a solid offensive lineup.
