Scouting Report

Physical: 6-foot-3, 170 pounds; Long, wiry build. 6.61 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a short swing path with a finish around the back.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH. 

 

2/25/22

 

Physical: 6-foot-3, 165 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 6.83 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Drops hands on the way back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while funneling  to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot.   OF.
