Season Outlook
The Harrah Panthers have went an impressive 81-29 in the last three years under Head Coach Charles Copeland. Last year the Panthers made it back to the 4A state tournament for the first time in 20 years.  Harrah will try to build on last year’s campaign with four returning starters, including one arm that had over 15 innings of works last year.

On the mound, The Panthers will again look to senior right-hander Jake Pearson to carry the load on the mound. Last year, Pearson was 5-3 with 45 innings pitched.  Also returning with some varsity experience is senior Hunter Thrasher and sophomore Tyler DeLong. Joining these three this year will be a pair of young arms, sophomore Damon Foster and big left-handed freshman Shea Morrison.

Many of the same players that will throw the majority of the innings for Harrah will also be asked to fill up the offensive stat sheet as well. Pearson will likely find himself in the heart of the order after batting .431 with 5 HR’s, 13 doubles, and 46 RBI a year ago. Hunter thrasher could join Pearson in the middle of the lineup after 39 RBI of his own last season. Foster, DeLong, and senior Jordan Merriman will also make big contributions to the offence.  Senior transfer Hunter Seright could add some pop to this lineup as well.

Defensively, Harrah will be strongest on the infield. Thrasher, Pearson, and DeLong all have the ability to play multiple infield spots. They will feed a tall target in Morrison at first base. The outfield will have plenty of depth and experience with seniors Merriman, Colten Wildman, Austin Walden and athletic sophomore Foster.
