Today’s stock report is on Alex Slowey, a 2014 graduate of Westfield HS. Slowey is an infielder who can play any position on the infield. In 2012 Slowey hit .419 with 2 HR and 17 RBI, he also displays solid foot speed, stealing 21 bases his sophomore year as well.

Westfield Head Baseball Coach, Nick Lewis said this of Slowey, “A natural leader, and the hardest worker on the team.” He also says of his abilities that he is extremely “rangy” and a “clutch hitter.”

The 6-foot, 180-pound Slowey also shows the ability to contribute on the mound, striking out 43 in 34 innings.

The 2013 season will be big for Slowey and Westfield HS, as we will see if he can improve on his 2012 numbers.
