On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

We're highlighting shortstop Ethan Holliday, an Oklahoma native and the top-ranked player in the country's 2025 class. The Oklahoma State recruit is a left-handed hitting shortstop with a professional frame and polish throughout his game. He's repeatedly shown well in front of our staff, from the high school season to the national circuit. After standout performances at the NPI and Area Code Games, Holliday will bring his heavy barrel to Milwaukee for PBR's inaugural High School All-American Game.

Following the Area Code Games, check out what PBR's VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt had to say about Holliday: "The 2025 class’ #1 player went just 1-for-6, but it was his pitch tracking and decision making abilities, along with some stellar defensive work at shortstop, that only added to the reaffirmation of class-leading status. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame immediately stands out amongst his peers, and though he was forced to wait patiently while each arm tossed up their best bolt in hopes of getting him out, Holliday was never sped up, but rather got off some dangerous hacks in an instant while also patiently accepting three walks in nine plate appearances. While the tall frame elicits the look of a future third baseman, it should not come in a hurry as Holliday looked more than adequate at shortstop with natural, fluid actions and a strong arm that should have him staying there."
