New England Top Five Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles for Rhode Island - #2 Ryan McCormick

Ryan McCormick#2 Ryan McCormick (UMass-Boston commit)
Background: A left-handed hitting catcher, the stance is even, the hands are set low. The bottom half is under control. Shows some power to the pull gap, showed the ability to spray it to the opposite gap as well. The tee exit velocity was 81, the hands are strong. Ran a 4.71 from home to first. Behind the dish the setup is balanced and receives with ease. The arm path is short and quick, was 77 on the gun. Pop times were 1.94-2.04. The frame is strong and durable for a catcher, seems to work well with his pitchers. A sleeper in my mind, left-handed catchers not easy to find.
