Meet Cole Grinde...

PBR: At what point in your career did you become serious about taking your game to the next level?

Grinde: About the 7th grade I really became serious about the game

PBR: What are you looking for out of a college program to continue your baseball career at? Feel free to elaborate as much as possible.

Grinde: I want to go somewhere to where we can win! I also want to progress as a player, teammate, and person so I can be a productive part of the team.

PBR: What schools do you have interest in?

Grinde: I've always been interested in schools in the ACC or schools with a very good tradition of winning.

PBR: What factors will sway your decision in choosing a college?

Grinde: The program, coaches, and the school itself. I want to major in exercise science.

PBR: Where if any have you made visits?

Grinde: I have not made any visits as of yet.

PBR: What colleges have you been in contact with?

Grinde: Radford, WVU, Penn State, and Wake Forest

PBR: Do you have any timetable as to when you are looking to make your decision?

Grinde: Currently I do not have a timetable.

PBR: What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?

Grinde: I absolutely love lifting weights. It's a passion of mine. I do Crossfit at my gym, Crossfit Forward. I have a cage in my backyard that I hit in everyday.

PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Grinde: Last year when we (Caroline HS) beat JR Tucker in a conference game. They beat us 11-0 earlier in the year but we beat them 11-5 in our first Conference Match-up

PBR: How are your academics? GPA? ACT? SAT? Any academic awards?

Grinde: I'm a very good student and take my studies seriously. I have always an A-B student. I haven't taken an SAT yet but will very soon.

PBR: How was your high school season last year?

Grinde: I had a pretty good season last year. The beginning was rough because I was trying to do too much but I locked in for the second half going into the playoffs.

PBR: Preview your high school season? How will your team be this year? Expectations?

Grinde: We have a lot to work on and we have a lot of young player.  The conference we're in is very competitive but we will do fine once our younger players mature and get some varsity games under their belt.
