Dylan Lesko, RHP, Buford, 2022
Vanderbilt recruit. 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic, projectable build, the top rated high school arm in the 2022 class. Advanced stuff and command. Low effort, repeatable delivery. Facing a talented Jesuit (FL) team, went 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 9 K, 3 BB, 1 HBP. Controlled the zone with fastball/changeup combo, sparingly used curveball, struggled with command of it. Fastball sat 93-95, touched 96, overpowering, pitches to both sides with. Changeup, swing and miss, can presently play at the next level, 79-83, deceptive with late action, falls off the table. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 73-74, average on this day.
#VandyBoys commit ‘22 RHP Dylan Lesko (@Bwolvesbaseball) missing barrels w/high powered arsenal. CH go-to offspeed pitch, throws in any count. Mostly used FB/CH. Goes 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 9 K, 3 BB, 1 HBP.
