Top Prospect Heading to the SEC

William DuPont from Lafayette High School, ranked No. 15 in the Class of 2012, has committed to Mississippi State University. Last season as a junior, the left-handed hitting infielder batted .528 with six home runs, 35 RBI and scored 41 runs.

He also stole 25 bases and was named Co-Player of the year for the Suburban West Conference. DuPont was also selected to Prep Baseball Report's All-State Honorable Mention team, the All-First Team MHSBCA and First Team Sports Writers All State Team.
