Emerson, GA.- In their first game of action, Team California took on the talented Team Carolinas to kick off the competition portion of the Future Games event. This high-octane game was not short of offense, ending in a 9-8 walk-off victory for Team California.

Starting on the mound for Team California was Grayson Boles, a '25 out of Saint Augustine High School. The righty spun his Fastball up to 91 on the day and struck out the side in the first inning. Grayson worked a sharp slider in the first that ranged from 75-78.

'26 Justin Lopez was the Dick's Sporting Good's player of the game, recording 3 base-hits, including a walk-off 2-RBI double to send Team California off victorious. Gary Morse was responsible for getting Team California on the board offensively, smashing a double into the RCF gap. Morse uses his big frame to his advantage, allowing him to stay on top of pitches up in the zone. Does a good job staying on plane through the zone.   '26 Ezekiel Lara also had a solid day for Team California at the leadoff spot, collecting two base-hits, including a clutch base hit in Team California's last frame of play.  '25 Rohan Kasanagottu had a solid outing out of the bullpen for Team California. The RHP worked a three-pitch mix, flashing a Fastball (87-88 MPH), Slider (72-74 MPH), and a filthy Splitter that logged 76-78 MPH

'25 Brock Ketelsen also contributed to Team California's win today, smashing this double to deep CF. Ketelsen uses a coiled up load that transfers into his front-side, which he then does an excellent job of hitting off of that front side.
