Logan Nelson
PBR Georgia Staff

As we begin to close the book on 2023 and shift our focus to a brand-new year, we continue our tradition of highlighting the Top-25 Most Viewed Profiles for the calendar year. Using Google Analytics, our staff was able to compile a list of the Top-25 prospects whose PBR profile was viewed the most in 2023. Many of the players mentioned on this list produced at a high level at various PBR events over the course of the last 12 months.

Today we announce #15 and will go all the way to No. 1, which will be announced on December 31st. Coming in at #15 is our #1 player in the 2026 class, Keon Johnson.

GA Preseason All State

The 6 foot 2, 190 beast always brings a good attitude and enjoys cheering for his friends just as much as he does hitting lasers all over the field. While Keon had a more consistent showing in our Fall Campus Tour : Mercer, he still wowed everyone at LakePoint with his mid 90’s EV’s and 90 mph arm from SS. It’s great to watch him enjoy the game at our events and that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. Really, he just acts like he’s been here before. And sure has, as he’s constantly performing in new events all over the country nearly year round. There are few players getting as many reps as Keon Johnson, and it’s all been a part of his ability to create elite muscle memory in his swing, defense, and on the mound. We look forward to seeing him pulverize baseballs this spring with metal, but are even more excited to see him barrel pitchers 2 years older than him with wood this summer.

Campus Tour: Mercer

The face of Georgia’s 2026 class put on an absolute show, sending barrel after barrel deep into the confines of Claude Smith Field. He showed off the 5 tool potential in every aspect of the workout, leading off with a 7.02 60 yd (1.71 10 yd) which was impressive for such a large frame and age. Improving his running form will only tick this tool up. Plain and simply, he took over BP with some of the loudest contact we’ve heard in our 2022 showcases. Keon flashed raw power that's almost a sure bet to be top of the scale in a few years time, and wowed us with advanced swing mechanics. Unsurprisingly, the skill carries over to the defensive side where Keon has exceptional footwork for his size with sure hands that stopped bad hops with a subtle push through the ball. The bazooka attached to his right arm registered at 91 mph across the IF, a tool just as loud as his raw power. Let's not overlook his talent on the bump, where he showed an advanced 3 pitch mix and worked downhill with a combo of power and finesse.
