What's New At The Top

Jack Sokol RHP / 3B / New Albany, OH / 2020

Report: The only change in the top ten is with Jack Sokol moving up a spot to Number 9. The future Boilermaker showed this winter why he was one of the more sought after prospects following the Future Games. At 6-4 175-pounds, Sokol fits the mold of a young, projectable, big-bodied pitching prospect. Sokol’s fastball ranged between 85-88 mph, sitting mostly at 86-87 mph with some promising arm-side run on a couple pitches. Two breakers, a slurvey breaking ball at 71-72 mph with decent spin and shape and a slider. The slider is thrown harder at 74-75 mph and it showcases average to above average lateral break. That said, it was his changeup that served as the ultimate differentiator. It is arguably one of the top changeups in the state. He throws the pitch between 76-78 mph while showing sharp arm-side run.
