Scouting Report

6/6/17
A switch hitter at the plate. From the right side he has a swing full of well-timed movements. Loading sequence creates very good energy into contact. Line drive guy that consistently finds the barrel. From the left side he has a similar look mechanically. Swing is shorter from the left-side. Looks to be a true switch hitter. Behind the plate he bring well above average athleticism to the position. Footwork and transfer both showed impressive quickness. Arm action is perfect for the position. In the infield he uses direct footwork approaching the baseball. Plays low and glove skills are above average. Exchange skills are there. Gets rid of the ball quickly and throws were on target.

6/21/16
5-foot-7, 140-pound frame. A young, talented prospect with tools to work with. Recorded impressive pop times of 1.92-1.98. Has efficient footwork with solid transfer skills. Threw to second base with 71 mph arm strength. In the infield he has athleticism to his actions and plays through the ball efficiently. Above average glove skills. Arm strength is still developing. A switch hitter that is efficient mechanically from both sides. Gets the most out of his frame. Has more pop from the right side but is more fluid from the left. Was able to consistently produce line drives from both sides in batting practice. Registered an exit velocity of 87 mph from the right and 83 mph from the left.

7/15/15
5-foot-4, 125-pound build. Switch hitter that shows advance skills for his age and feel to hit. From the left side he has loose hands and starts with a leg kick to load. Flat path that stays in the hitting zone with 74 mph exit velocity. From the right side has a very similar approach with easy path and 76 mph exit velocity. In the infield he shows good hands and clean actions with 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Behind the plate he starts with a wide base and shows good footwork with a clean transfer. Throws from a high-3/4 slot with 66 mph arm strength and pop times ranging from 2.35-2.44. Times and arm strength will improve as he gets older and stronger.

6/30/15
Young looking 5-foot-4, 125-pound thinner body frame, with room to fill out with and project. From the crouch he uses good footwork to get himself turned and in line with his throws to second base. He throws with a clean, short arm action coming from an upper ¾ slot, using 66 mph velocity to reach pop times between 2.26-2.33. Looks more advanced as an infielder at this point, but that could change as he continues to grow and develop. In the infield he uses good, athletic footwork to approach ground balls and plays through the baseball. Fields with softer hands out in front of his body and throws with a clean, short arm action coming from a ¾ slot, using 66 mph velocity across the infield. Switch hitter, from the right-side of the plate he starts from a balanced stance and really loads up on his back leg, using a leg kick for added power. Loads with his hands fluidly, moving back to his shoulder. He swings with a slightly upward bat path through the zone. From the left-side of the plate he uses similar swings mechanics starting from a balanced stance and using a leg kick. His load with his hands tends to start a bit too soon from the left-side and still swings with a slightly upward bat path through the zone. He sprayed the ball all over the field from the left-side during his round of batting practice and hit a triple and single in two plate appearances during the games portion of the event. Reached a top exit velocity of 77 mph and ran a 4.57 out of the batter’s box to first base.

8/10/14
5-foot-2, 120 pound build. From the infield he projects as a second baseman right now.  His feet are a tad slow but shows good footwork and good actions. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a top velocity of 67 mph across the infield. Behind the plate he shows good footwork getting his feet in line and a clean exchange. Pop times between 2.24-2.40 and top velocity of 64 mph. Switch hitter with practically the same set up. Both load with a high leg kick and transfers weight to his front foot. Exit velocity from left hand was 69mph and from right hand was 74 mph. Registered a 4.96 home to first.
