Oconomowoc 8, Waupun 3

Josh Hottinger kept the Warrior offense at bay going seven strong innings for the win. Oconomowoc put up eight runs to secure the 8-3 win over Waupun.

Josh Hottinger got the win for Oconomowoc. He allowed three runs over seven innings, one earned. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Oconomowoc jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third.

The Warriors answered Oconomowoc's top inning with one run of its own in the third. Waupun scored on an RBI double by Colin DeBoer.

Oconomowoc went up for good in the fourth, scoring five runs on three singles and a walk.

Peyton Williams went 3-for-4 for Oconomowoc, scoring one run.

DeBoer racked up two RBI on two hits for Waupun. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Shullsberg-Benton 5, River Ridge 3

River Ridge wasn't able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against Shullsburg-Benton, and River Ridge lost 5-3 to the Miner Zephyrs after falling behind by five runs in the fourth inning.

River Ridge scored three runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Dylan Hazer and two bases loaded walks. Still, River Ridge couldn't draw even.

Wyatt Cook went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish for Shullsburg-Benton. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

River Ridge couldn't get anything going so long as Matt Cook was on the hill. River Ridge managed just one hit off of the Miner Zephyr pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Shullsburg-Benton tacked on another three runs in the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Connor Crotty singled, scoring Kyle Hoppman. That was followed up by Brett Matye's double, scoring Brock Knautz and Nathan Hendrickson.
