Body: 6-1, 205-pounds. Physical frame with present strength.

Hit: RHH. Starts with a neutral stance and upright posture with hands getting set slightly above shoulder height.  Utilizes a quick two tap stride with an uptempo pace.   Short load into the back leg with rocking motion.  Hands work rotationally through the zone with a strong top hand finish.  Attacks the ball out in front of the plate with a pull side approach.  Has some strength at contact with hands moving quickly through the zone.
Power: 93.2 max exit velocity, averaged 84.3 mph. 327’ max distance.
Arm: RH.   OF - 90 mph. Over the top arm slot with a clean arm action.
Defense: Attacks the ball with aggressive footwork and routes to the ball.  Fields the ball out in front of the glove side leg with good glove action and soft hands.  Utilizes a quick shuffle crow hop technique with good momentum headed towards the target.
Run: 7.24 runner in the 60.  
Delivery: Short rocking style footwork around the rubber working to an easy pivot foot.  Smooth pace and tempo to the delivery working to a mid height balance point.  Slight crouch in the posture with a short coil in the front hip and shoulder.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Short push off the rubber with good momentum headed towards the target.
Arm Action: RH. 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action.
FB: T84.4, 81.9-83.6 mph. Very heavy arm side run working mostly to the arm side with good command. T2107, 2075 average rpm.
CB: 72.3-72.9 mph. Short and early break with more east/west action and developing spin. T1750, 1719 average rpm.
SL: 72.1-73.8 mph. Tighter cutting action with some late break and downward depth. T1819, 1758 average rpm.
CH: 73.6-74.1 mph. Very good fading action to the glove side with fastball hand speed. T1609, 1590 average rpm.

 

 

 

Athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter starts in a tall, balanced stance with active hands. Uses both a toe-tap or leg lift load to shift his weight to his backside before an aggressive uphill swing plane through the zone. Gap to gap approach with flashes of pop to his pull side, making loud contact during his round of BP. Generates above average bat speed, recording a 94 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. In the outfield, has aggressive routes to the ball with short, choppy footwork and average hands to field. Made strong throws with carry at 88 mph. In the infield, raw actions with developing footwork and firm hands. Quicker releases, making 79 mph throws.

On the mound, the right-handed pitcher showcases a solid frame with a slow, deliberate tempo in his wind-up delivery. Average extension down the mound with a falling off finish. Throws from a long, over-the-top arm angle, showing decent arm speed. Fastball sat 79-80 mph at a downward angle. Sharp 12/6 curveball thrown 69-70 mph. Developing 10/4 slider, 69-72 mph. Changeup sat 70-72 with average fade action.

 

 

Luke Schimmels: OF/RHP, (2023) Deer Creek, OK. 6-foot-1, 195-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Schimmels had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Begins in a balanced tall stance with a arm bar small load, then uses a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed is above average, exhibits upward swing plane and a back foot finish. Through his round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Pull side approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 85 mph; has firm hands. Raw in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 81 mph; has firm hands, a quick developing exchange and developing feet. Uses his glove to the side. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.54 at the event. Where he showed good arm speed, he had an over-the-top arm angle with a long arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Lands square with a falling off finish.

 

 

A physically advanced 6-foot-01, 195-pound frame with present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high up, down, and out leg kick with quality leg drive down the mound before finishing to the first base side with a recoil finish. Arm action is long and fast in the back before coming through an over the top slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball flashes cut with a down hill plane at 80-83 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball is advanced with near 12/6 shape and tight spin thrown with full arm speed at 70-74 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows some fade at 75-76 mph, some strikes.

 

 

Showcased a physically advanced 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame with present strength in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with an even stance utilizing a knee-knock stride to unleash a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Generated advanced barrel whip with feel for extension off the tee while driving the ball to the pull side gap with backspin. Displayed sink into a violent lower half evidenced by an 88 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder featured solid footwork playing through the ball with momentum towards the target coupled with a live arm generating accurate 89 mph arm-strength from his position out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.

 

 

A 6-foot, 180-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed OF has presence in the box, shows good rhythm. Uses small front foot drag and lift to load, small dive at times, good direction and path to the baseball. Strong throughout, keeping lower half under, extension through the baseball. More bat speed to come. Middle of the field with lift and pop, mostly barrels, 82 mph exit velo.  Runs a 7.52 60. Defensively, OF is aggressive to field and throw, plays downhill. Short, quick arm stroke and release. Ball jumps from the hand, runs arm side at 85 mph.

 

 

A 6-foot, 180 pound physically advanced frame with strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high up, down and out leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and quick in the back, getting high early before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt at 78-81 mph, some strikes. Breaking ball shows tight spin with short 10/4 shape at  66-69. Changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed and some fade at 66-68 mph.
