On January 27th, 2018 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, 100 of the top high school prospects ranging from the 2018-2021 classes will participate in Preseason All-State which is the premier kickoff event for the 2018 spring high school season. Preseason All-State will feature high-end draft talent, numerous Division 1 recruits, and some of the top uncommitted underclassman in the state.

Leading up to the event we will highlight each upcoming participant through their own individual spotlight which includes video, reports, and more. Today we take a look at 2018 MIF Spencer Stegemann of Estero HS, FL.

Scouting Report

08/26/17 - 5-foot-10, 150 pound middle infielder. Offensively, the right handed hitter has a lean athletic frame. He has pre-swing rhythm and uses a leg kick as a trigger. He can get rotational through the zone, but has a balanced lower half and a level path through the zone. Also had a single during the game. Defensively, he is athletic with the hands and feet working well together and an infield velocity of 79 mph.

01/21/17- The 5-foot-10, 150-pound 2B/SS has a lean, athletic frame. The right handed hitter has a wide base and simple load. He is level through the zone, with a feel for the barrel and generated an exit velocity of 80 mph. Defensively, he shows quality footwork in the middle while working with rhythm and fielding the ball in front of his body. Topped out at 77 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.2 60 yard dash.
