PBR: Why did you choose Ashland?

Lewandowski: I chose Ashland because I thought it was a good fit athletically and academically, and on my visit I could really see my self enjoying my four years there. Plus the food is amazing.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Lewandowski: I was considering Lake Erie, Seton Hill, and Walsh.

PBR:  Where did the coaching staff first see you compete?
Lewandowski: They saw me at the Walsh Jesuit Showcase and Buckeye Scout.

PBR: What role does Coach Schaly expect you to play during your first year on campus?
Lewandowski: Coach Schaly expects me to compete for a corner position. He stated who ever produces will play, he puts the best 9 on the field.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will
help Ashland baseball?

Lewandowski: I feel my biggest strength as a ball player is my ability to hit for power to all fields, and my defense.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Lewandowski: My brother Joe, he played for Ohio Dominican and he has always been my role model in baseball. He has showed me so much, and I've always strived to become a better ball player then he was. Along with my Coaches, Matt Brumit, Tim Lake, Chuck Schilling, and Buddy Dice. They have taught me so much and have always been there for support and advice.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Lewandowski: I play for Lookouts Baseball. My most exciting experience happened last summer when we won the Nischwitz Tournament at Wright State University. We defeated the Cincinnati Flames 4-3. I contributed a 2 run triple, a single, a walk, and scored a run.

PBR: What were your stats last season for Hudson?
Lewandowski: BA: .371      OBP: .526     Hits: 29     RBI: 29     2B: 11    Saves: 3

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in Ohio?
Lewandowski: Probably Matt Smoral, when he is around the plate he is hard to beat.
