NYS Games: Team 10 Preview

First Base

 

Thomas Evans 1B / OF / Orchard Park , NY / 2019 Recently moved to the Buffalo area from Georgia. He's built well with a frame able to hold more, some serious juice at the plate.

 

Middle Infielders

 

Nick Harvey SS / RHP / Smithtown HS East, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 209 / POS: 40 From the right side; short, stroke with some lift to the pull side. Balanced, repeatable efforts also from the left side. Showed lateral range back in the fall at SS with accurate arm. On the mound he worked in the upper 70's, touching 79 MPH. Looking forward to seeing him again.

 

 

Aidan Larkin SS / 2B / Chaminade, NY / 2019 Very sound defender with plenty of interest already.

 

 

Tommy Reifler SS / 2B / Garden City, NY / 2019 LHH that we last saw nearly 2 1/2 years ago. Featured a balanced approach then with a simple line drive stroke. Quick transfer; glove works out in front.

 

Andrew Ciufo
2B/SS / Phillips Academy (MA) / 2019
Above average athlete at 6-foot-0 190 pounds. The Long Island resident features a fluid stroke with some juice. Has run a 6.97 60 in the past. Active defender with an over the top release from the left side of the infield. 

Third Base

 

Thomas Carpenter 3B / 1B / Westlake, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 73 / POS: 9 Strong frame at 5-foot-11 185 pounds; balanced approach at the plate with zone acceleration, line drive results. Suitable left side arm; hands are soft out in front.

Hunter Traenkle 3B / RHP / Division, NY / 2019 This will be our first time seeing Traenkle.

Mike Ladonna 3B / RHP / West Islip, NY / 2019 Ladonna will be entering his first PBR event during the NYS Games.

 

Outfielders

 

Trevor Adamo OF / 2B / Connetquot, NY / 2019 Athletic 5-foot-11 158 pound RHH; has run a 6.95 in the past with an 84 MPH exit velocity. Excited to see him next week.

Colin Diez OF / Division, NY / 2019 5-foot-8 160 pound L/L OF who's run a 7.08 60 in the past; 83 MPH exit velocity.

Joseph Zimmerman RHP / OF / Connetquot, NY / 2019 This will be our first time seeing Zimmerman.

Nicholas LoMonaco OF / SS / William Floyd High School , NY / 2019 This will be our first time seeing LoMonaco.

Roman Dorosh RHP / OF / Sachem East, NY / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 10 / POS: 3 Lean build with athleticism, aggressive player. Has been up to 90 on the bump already this year.

 

Pitcher Only

Joseph Savino RHP / Connetquot , NY / 2019 Has the ability to turn in to a front-line arm. Mid-80s with more in the tank from an easy arm slot, frame to build on.

Douglas Goodwin RHP / 3B / Smithtown East, NY / 2019 Another low-mid 80's arm that has been throwing the ball really well over the Spring season. Excited to see his stuff.

Anthony Cinquemani RHP / West Islip , NY / 2019 This will be our first time seeing Cinquemani throw but the reports are very good.

Michael Storms LHP / 1B / Smithtown , NY / 2019 LHP with upside on the mound, this will be our first time seeing Storms.

AJ Verga LHP / 1B / William Floyd, NY / 2019 This will be our first time seeing Verga throw.

Bryce Grathwohl RHP / 3B / Mattituck, NY / 2019 Grathwohl will be entering his first PBR event.

Trent Wasserman LHP / 1B / Brighton, NY / 2019 Slight build at 5-foot-11 150 pounds. The LHP at last site was working in the 75-77 MPH range with recent reports of more in the tank. aB at 60-61 and a change up that checked in at 63 MPH.
