McIneney has a broad shouldered, athletic build at 6-foot-5 180-pounds with long, wiry-athletic frame and loose limbs. Fastball touched 81 MPH and sat mostly 80-81 in his bullpen session. He flashed an impressive 1/7 curveball at 69-70 MPH with sharp, late break for strikes and a changeup with armside fade at 71-73 MPH. Easy repeatable mechanics – lower balance point when compared to his height – drop and drive type pitcher. Long, loose arm action with a clean finish over a strong, firm front landing leg. Front foot lands straight and finishes square.
