Today’s Player Spotlight is on unsigned senior Brian Jestice. Jestice is a Class of 2013 graduate of Fremd HS. Jestice has shown well in the Prep Baseball Report Fall Prospect Program, as he recently threw 4 innings of two hit baseball posting five strikeouts. His fastball sat comfortably in the 82-84 mph range, showing heavy action. 

Jestice is a physical 6-foot-2, 215-pound right-hander who showcases arm strength on the mound. He works well downhill at 84 mph, topping at 86. His over the top arm slot produces a heavy fastball that produces plenty of groundballs. He throws his curveball for strikes with some bite, in the 64-67 mph range; he also throws a 72-74 mph changeup. With added arm speed, he can improve both secondary pitches.

Jestice continues to improve throughout the Fall Prospect Program. As his arm speed improves, and command of off-speed pitches gets better, his stock will continue to rise.
