Today we are releasing our first update to the Virginia/DC Private School Top 10. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.

  • Similar to the Power 25, a lot remains the same, and expectedly so during the time around spring break.

  • With one team dropping out, Bishop O'Connell rises up to the #9 spot and Nansemond-Suffolk enters.

  • The NSA Saints moved in over Walsingham for a couple of reasons. One being that NSA won the head to head, albeit on a walk-off homerun, but the head to head victory carries weight. In addition to that, the Saints' two losses are one run games to quality opponents, including a 5-4 loss to Cape Henry.

  • St. Alban's moved out and that is probably the toughest move. They have played one of the most demanding schedules of anyone in the VA/DC area, but it was tough to keep them in at 6-7. The schedule should lighten a bit in the future and they could see a run of victories that would push them back in.

  • Along with our Power 25 on Mondays, we will update our Private School Top 10 every Tuesday.
