PBR: Why did you choose Nebraska?

I have always wanted to play for the Huskers since I was a little kid. When I was on my visit, I loved everything about Lincoln and the baseball program, so it was a perfect fit.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

I was also considering Iowa and Kansas State, but when Nebraska offered, I pretty much had my decision.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

Coach Erstad came to a few of my games last spring and summer, and Coach Silva attended a few games this fall. I get along with both coaches extremely well.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Not really. I was never really stressed out about the process. All I can control is playing the game the right way, and I will continue to do that.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Nebraska is more about baseball. They make education and life after baseball a priority, and that is very important to me.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Coach Ron Wessel and Coach Greg Geary have helped me very much. Also, my dad is always there to throw BP or hit ground balls.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

The process was much easier than I thought. I knew right away that Nebraska was the school for me.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

The coaching staff is confident I can make an impact right away. Nothing is guaranteed, but I'll work hard to make that happen.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

I'll never forget my first varsity at bat. Also, winning regionals and going to the Legion World Series my freshman year was really cool.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Cole Stobbe.
