The Missouri Scout Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from the Prep Baseball Scouting Staff during the season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable. We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more. Simply put, the Missouri Scout Blog is loaded with information collected via our boots-on-the-ground coverage of the state's high school season.

Cole Adair, OF, Vianney, 2025
Uncommitted. Strong, well-proportioned 6-foot, 170-pound athlete. Hit in the two-hole and started in right field for the Griffins in an opening day win over Webster Groves. Fast, level left-handed swing, creates bat speed out of load with juice off the barrel. Launched a grand slam to put the Griffins up early, also tripled later in the contest. Finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and five RBIs.
Cole Adair
Jake Brettschneider, RHP, Francis Howell, 2024
6-foot-4, 195-pound frame with present strength and room to tack on more. One of the top arms in the state’s sophomore class, currently slotted inside the top-10 of the Missouri 2026 rankings. Started on the mound in a win over CBC, striking out five over three scoreless innings, walking four and allowing one hit. Tempo’d tall/fall type mover, simple operation, subtle leg lift to balance point and strides in-line to the plate. Long and continuous arm swing finishes from a fast, loose ¾ slot. Fastball comes out clean, touched 90 mph early, pitched in the mid-to-upper-80s, touching 89 mph on the last pitch of his outing. Separator is a slider at 74-78 mph that has consistently shown sharp swing-and-miss spin. Has the potential to be a true dynamic, impact-type arm on the mound for the Vikings now as well as the remainder of his high school career.
