The Prep Baseball Arizona High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for an Arizona High School positional player from the previous week.  Each week, High School coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Arizona Scouting Director, Shea Sbranti.

To begin each week, Prep Baseball Arizona will announce it's Player of the Week, alongside our Power 25 Rankings Update, from the previous Monday-Sunday games.

'25 RHP/1B Jaxon Valdez (Williams Field) takes home this week's Player of the Week honors following a seven-inning complete game shutout against Casa Grande on Thursday, as well as an inning out of the bullpen with a 0 on the board.

2025 RHP/1B Jaxon Valdez (Uncommitted) got the start on Thursday against Casa Grande and went the distance, tossing seven shutout innings as the Blackhawks took home a 12-0 victory. In the seven innings, Valdez allowed just three hits, one walk and struck out nine. The previous night, the uncommitted two-way also worked one inning out of the bullpen without surrendering a run. It was a big week for Williams Field as they picked up three wins over South Mountain, Fairfax and Casa Grande, also dropping a contest to Desert Mountain by a score of 7-6.
