NE Rising Stars ID- Omaha (2028 Grads)

Player and Parent,

You are cordially invited to attend the Prep Baseball NE Rising Stars ID for 2028 graduates. This event has a dual function. For most participants, this will be their first showcase event - an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent, and at the same time getting valuable coaching in the showcase process. As the preeminent scouting service across our 40+ state coverage area, Prep Baseball is looking to identify promising young prospects at an earlier age so we can more accurately track their progress through their career.

This event will also serve as an identifier for invitations to the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games in late July. The Junior Future Games will run in conjunction with the Prep Baseball Future Games. The Future Games features the top High School players in the sophomore class from across the Prep Baseball 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 300 college coaches from across the country each year.

The Junior Future Games, an Invitation-Only event, will feature the best identified prospects from across the country in a four-day tournament at Lake Point in Cartersville, GA. Participants will compete against other top-level players while representing their respective state. The Junior Future Games will take place at Lake Point in Cartersville, GA. This state-of-the-art facility features 8 all-turf fields. The event features guaranteed pool play games and will include single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group. 

NOTE: Players must use BBCOR bats during showcase.

• Offensive Evaluations

  • Mechanical evaluation

  • Batting practice on field

• Defensive Evaluations

  • Arm strength

  • Agility/range

  • Positional analysis/profile

Registered Pitchers & Catchers

• Pitching Evaluations

  • 15-17 pitch bullpen (fastball and secondary pitches from both windup and stretch)

  • Mechanical evaluation

  • Pitch velocity, movement, spin analysis

• Catcher Evaluations (while receiving bullpen)

  • Receiving/pitch presentation

  • Blocking/mobility

CREDIT POLICY

The Prep Baseball credit policy is that of a transfer nature. Prep Baseball will permit the transfer of your payment to another Prep Baseball event that may be used during the following year of scheduled events. Again, registration fees are of a transfer nature and will not be refunded. If an event is cancelled due to weather, players will be issued a full credit to a future event.
