Scouting Report on Decker:
Justin Decker 3B/RHP (Christian Brothers Academy, 2015)

Decker stands 5 foot 11 180 pounds with an athletic baseball body and a frame to build on. At 3B he stays behind the baseball, uses soft hands and a quick clean transfer. He bats from the right side with a balanced approach and a short compact swing while bat path is slightly inclined through the zone with a high finish. On the mound he’s 83-84 mph with a sharp breaking curveball along with a tight slider and an average change up. He finishes with good extension over his front side, under control and balanced.

Analysis
At 5-foot-11 180-pound Decker is going to have to stand out and make some noise during the recruiting process. He’s flown under the radar as a standout for Christian Brothers Academy in Albany where he was awarded Co-Big 10 Player of the year. He can easily play on both sides of the ball at the next level showing signs of athleticism along with “baseball know-how”. Our Unsigned Senior event in Oneonta NY is ideal for a player in his position. This off-season could be a game changer and it could start taking off after our September 21st event.
