Lawrence stands 5-foot-10, 170-pounds with an athletic build. From the infield he uses above average action fielding the ball, gets around it and through the ball on his throws. Fields smoothly out in front, clean fast exchange, short arm action, throws from a low-3/4 slot with arm strength touching 80 mph. At the plate starts with his hands relaxed, knees bent. On the pitch he loads up and back, stride for timing. Path is long to the ball, slightly uphill through the zone, finishes high, exit velocity was 80 mph. Home to first time was 4.38, pro agility time was 4.43.

Analysis:
Lawrence is an extremely balanced player, at our Last Chance Preview in Albany he did everything right whether it was on offense or defense. At shortstop he had soft hands with an extremely quick transfer coming from a low ¾ slot. On the offensive side he had quick hands shooting the ball to both sides of the field. What impressed me most about Lawrence was his intangibles, he’s a bright kid with a lot of upside. Keep an eye out for this Unsigned Senior.
